Jamie Allen is a writer and multimedia storyteller in Atlanta, GA. His work spans nonfiction, fiction, and humor, and he works in all media platforms, from print to video to live presentation. He has published in The Oxford American, McSweeney's, The Missouri Review, Grantland, Atlanta Magazine, and other outlets. He is the lead instigator/creator of the multimedia citizen science and storytelling project Squirrel Census, which Kickstarter named a project of the year in 2012. An amateur photographer, Jamie's iPhone and Pentax K-1000 photos have been used in #weloveatl exhibitions and Atlanta's 45 X 45 photography project. He lectures about Squirrel Census and the "modern story," and his co-runs a small branding shop called Chronicle.
